United
Kingdom
Education systems in the UK have evolved over hundreds of years,
and are subject to rigorous quality standards. The international
alumni from UK institutions includes many leading politicians,
thinkers and business people who have had an important influence
on the world such as Bill Clinton (former President of the USA),
Thabo Mbeki (President of South Africa), Desmond Tutu (Archbishop
and human rights campaigner), Rifat Ozbek (fashion designer),
Wole Soyinka (Nobel prize-winning author), Stelios Haji-Iaonnu
(founder of the easyGroup of businesses) and Imran Khan (cricket
legend and politician). Quality standards for UK institutions
are among the best in the world. Universities, colleges and schools
continually have to prove that their courses meet strict criteria.
Many other countries are now trying to follow the example of the
UK.
UK
qualifications, including A-levels, BTECs, HNDs, degrees from
UK universities and professional qualifications are respected
all over the world. All UK qualifications have to meet rigorous
standards, and this applies just as much to ones you study in
your own country as those you'd take in the UK. You'll be expected
to meet the same standards as students studying in the UK and
your work will be checked regularly to make sure that this is
the case. Your UK qualification is a mark of quality, proving
to future employers that you're up to whatever task they set.
While you're here, you'll be immersed in English, the world's
most important business language. At the same time, you'll be
part of a truly international community - 29.9 per cent of postgraduate
students in the UK are international and you may find as many
as 50 different nationalities on a single campus. With such fantastic
experience behind you, you'll be ready to hit the ground running
by the time you finish your course.
